{RECIPE} Blueberry Kombucha Smoothie

The holiday season is almost upon us; and this smoothie is about to be your new best friend.

This is the smoothie that you will drink before a party to stabilize your blood sugar and help you make better decisions at the buffet.

This is the smoothie you will drink the morning after that holiday party. It will hydrate you. It will replenish lost electrolytes. It will help that hangover, with healthy hair of the dog. It will save you.

What do I mean by healthy hair of the dog? Well Kombucha tea is fermented, and when something is fermented alcohol is produced, as evidenced in the case of vodka- a holiday favourite. In the case of Kombucha, alcohol is produced but not enough to get you sauced, just enough to make your body think it's hairing the dog.

If you love to imbibe, buy Kombucha in bulk this season.

  • 1 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1/3 cup fresh mint leaves
  • 1 tbsp hemp seeds
  • 2 tbsp raw almonds
  • 1/2 cup kombucha tea (I used GT's Synergy flavour)
  • 2/3 cup water

Combine all ingredients in a blender until smooth.
