These vodka soda cocktails were the best way to usher back in the imbibing life. You see, I gave up drinking for a full month during a pandemic lockdown, am I crazy? No, I was sick lol; but now I’m on the mend, so I’m back to one of my favourite pastimes, enjoying a cocktail or two.
When I tried the Ace Hill Vodka Soda I said aloud “ooh these are dangerous’” because they are almost *too* easy to drink, but don’t let this stop you. Boasting two delicious flavours, lemon and raspberry, less than 1g of sugar per can, AND (yes there is more) it’s gluten free; so ANYONE can enjoy these cocktails.
Lemon Slushie and Berry Smash will have you feeling just that, smashed- but in the best way possible!
Cheers;)
Lemon Vodka Soda Slushie
- 1 can Ace Hill Lemon Vodka Soda
- 1 lemon
- 1 lime
- Salt + Sugar for the rim
- Lemon and lime slices
Freeze the contents of one can in an ice cube tray overnight.
Zest the lemon and the lime and combine the zest with 1 part salt to ½ part sugar. Rim the glasses with this mix.
In a blender cup combine the frozen cubes, lemon juice and lime juice. Pour the slush into the rimmed cups and garnish lemon and lime slices.
Berry Smash
- 1 can Ace Hill Raspberry Vodka Soda
- ½ cup berries (dealer’s choice)
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 lemon
- 1 lime
- Sugar for the rim
- Ice
Zest the lemon and lime and set the zest aside. In a mason jar, add the berries, lemon juice, lime juice and maple syrup, and with the end of a wooden spoon crush the berries together with the maple and citrus.
Rim the glass with sugar and citrus zest, add ice and pour ¼ cup of berry mixture into the glass, top with raspberry vodka soda and enjoy!
